Baseball Hitter - Ryan Hayes, Earlham College

Earlham College's Ryan Hayes (New Lebanon, Ohio/Dixie) led the Quakers to a sweep of
Kalamazoo in the first series ever held at the new Randal R. Sadler Stadium in
Richmond and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball
Hitter of the Week.  The senior designated hitter finished 6-of-10 (.600) at the
plate as the Quakers earned a three game series sweep of the visiting Hornets.
Hayes scored four runs with two home runs, a double, three walks, and six RBI, while
posting a slugging percentage of 1.500.  Earlham (6-2, 0-0 HCAC) will host Robert
Morris-Springfield for a doubleheader Tuesday afternoon.

Baseball Pitcher - Chris Hoopingarner, Franklin College

Franklin College's Chris Hoopingarner (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence Central) tossed
eight scoreless innings in the opener of Saturday's doubleheader against Albion and
has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the
Week.  The senior threw eight scoreless innings with a career-high nine strikeouts
in the 6-0 win.  Hoopingarner allowed just five hits and did not let a runner
advance past second base during the contest and held opposing batters to a .192
batting average.  The Indianapolis native improved to 3-0 on the season and lowered
his ERA to 0.78.  Franklin (8-2, 0-0 HCAC) will travel to Adrian for a doubleheader
Saturday afternoon.

Softball Hitter - Jessica Kuzara, Bluffton University

Bluffton University's Jessica Kuzara (Flat Rock, Mich./Huron) provided the punch for
Bluffton's lineup as the Beavers went 8-2 in Florida and has been named the
Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week.  The junior
finished the week 12-for-28 (.429) with 12 runs scored, a home run, six stolen
bases, and 10 RBI to lead the Beavers to eight wins in 10 tries. The Beavers (8-2,
0-0 HCAC) will face Adrian and Trine on the road this week.

Softball Pitcher - Chloe Shell, Bluffton University

Bluffton University's Chloe Shell (Covington, Ohio/H.S.) posted a 4-2 record in six
starts during BU's 10-game swing through Florida and has been named the Heartland
Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.  The junior threw a
no-hitter against St. John Fisher, a team that earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA
tournament a year ago.  For the week, Shell posted a 1.62 ERA with 22 strikeouts and
three complete games in 30.1 innings of work.  Bluffton (8-2, 0-0 HCAC) will face
Adrian and Trine on the road this week.

Men's Tennis - Jack Ventura-Cruess, Earlham College

Earlham College's Jack Ventura-Cruess (Placentia, Calif./El Dorado) posted a pair of
victories in Earlham's 7-2 win over Capital Sunday and has been named the Heartland
Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week.  The sophomore
teamed with Anton Bartashevich for an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles and posted a 6-3, 6-1
victory at the No. 3 singles position.  Earlham (2-2, 0-0 HCAC) returns to action on
Friday in the HCAC opener at Manchester at 6PM.
