Anderson University's Jacob Craft (LaPorte, Ind./H.S.) led the Ravens to a season
opening sweep of DePauw Saturday and has been named the Heartland Collegiate
Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week.  The junior shortstop finished
6-of-9 (.667) at the plate as the Ravens beat the Tigers 6-5 and 5-3 in Xenia, Ohio.
Craft scored three runs with two home runs, two RBI, and a stolen base in the
doubleheader, finishing with a 1.333 slugging percentage.  Anderson (2-0, 0-0 HCAC)
will have a doubleheader with Indiana Southeast Thursday afternoon.

Baseball Pitcher - Hayden Cleveland, Franklin College

Franklin College's Hayden Cleveland (Brownsburg, Ind./Cardinal Ritter) tossed a pair
of complete-game victories during the week and has been named the Heartland
Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.  The sophomore tossed a
seven-inning, complete-game shutout against Thomas More, striking out nine batters
and allowing just two hits in the win.  In a 7-3 win over No. 21 ranked Augustana,
Cleveland had six strikeouts with one earned run.  For the week, Cleveland recorded
a 0.64 ERA and held opponents to a .137 batting average.  Franklin (5-2, 0-0 HCAC)
will host Albion for a three-game series this weekend.

Softball Hitter - Katie Struewing, Franklin College

Franklin College's Katie Struewing (Greenwood, Ind./H.S.) led the Grizzlies offense
during a 4-0 start to the season and has been named the Heartland Collegiate
Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week.  The sophomore finished the week
8-for-15 (.533) with six runs scored, one double, and three RBI to lead the
Grizzlies to wins over Clark, Alverno, and Newbury. The Grizzlies (4-0, 0-0 HCAC)
will continue play in Florida this week with four more games on the schedule.

Softball Pitcher - Leah Kemmerer, Hanover College

Hanover College's Leah Kemmerer (North Vernon, Ind./Jennings Co.) posted a 4-1
record in five appearances during Hanover's 10-game swing through Florida and has
been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the
Week.  The junior set a school single-game record with 16 strikeouts in a 3-0 win
over Lyndon State.  Kemmerer finished the week allowing 19 hits and five earned runs
with 35 strikeouts in 23.0 innings of work.  Hanover (6-4, 0-0 HCAC) will return to
action Wednesday at home against Marian (IN).

Men's Tennis - James Demeo, Defiance College

Defiance College's James Demeo (Oregon, Ohio/Clay) went 4-0 as the Jackets went 1-1
against Baldwin Wallace and St. Francis (IN) and has been named the Heartland
Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week.  In Defiance's 7-2
loss to Baldwin Wallace, the freshman earned a 7-6, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles and
added an 8-4 win at the No. 3 doubles position.  Demeo followed that performance
with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles and an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles as DC defeated
St. Francis 5-4.  Defiance (1-1, 0-0 HCAC) will open the HCAC schedule at home
against Franklin Friday evening.
