TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Marq Dixon set a new school record as the Earlham College track
teams participated in the Friday Night Invitational at the Rose-Hulman Institute of

Dixon won the triple jump with a distance of 42'11 3/4" to break the indoor mark of
42'8 1/4" established in 1996 by Lee Slone. 

The top individual finisher for the women's squad was Emmy Zimmerman. Zimmerman was
second in the mile run with a time of 5:39.04. 

Earlham had two other second-place finishes. On the men's side, Alec Dews completed
the 60-meter dash in 7.21 seconds. The women's 800-meter relay team of Kyra
Williams, Zoe Curry, Britney Ware and Cherrah Barclay posted a time of 1:58.73. 

The other Quakers to score for the men were: 
• Dews, John Hood, Tre Stephens, Nick Archer, fourth, 800-meter relay, 1:37.44 
• Johnnie Fitzpatrick, fifth, 60-meter dash, 7.34 
• Jamal Donoso, eighth, triple jump, 36'2 1/4" 
• Fitzpatrick, eighth, 200-meter dash, 24.22 

The other Quakers to score for the women were: 
• Emma Hauser, fourth, 3,000-meter run, 11:42.13 
• Alexus Bex, eighth, shot put, 29'11 1/2" 
• Ware, eighth, 60-meter dash, 8.90 

Carroll University won the women's meet, while the Quakers were fifth out of six
teams. Rose-Hulman won the seven-team men's event and Earlham was sixth. 

The Quakers compete at the Anderson University Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 8. The
meet starts at 3 p.m.
