Men's Basketball - Bailey Howard, Franklin College

Franklin College senior guard Bailey Howard (Nashville, Ind./Brown Co.) averaged
28.5 points in two games down in Florida last week and has been named the Heartland
Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.  The senior
scored 30 points in FC's loss to NCAA Division II member Eckerd on Tuesday and added
27 points against undefeated Southeastern (FL) on Monday evening.  Bailey made seven
of his 15 three-point field goal attempts and shot 56% from the field in the two
contests.  Franklin (3-2, 0-0 HCAC) opens HCAC play at Hanover and Bluffton this
week.

Women's Basketball - Bria Sneed, Earlham College
Earlham College's Bria Sneed (Indianapolis, Ind./University) led the Quakers to an
80-75 win over Wilmington Saturday and has been named the Heartland Collegiate
Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.  The senior guard led the
way with 21 points, eight assists, five rebounds, and four steals as the Quakers
notched their first win of the season.  Sneed is currently averaging 15.0 points per
game this season.  Earlham (1-3, 0-0 HCAC) will open the conference schedule at home
against Bluffton and Manchester this week.
