RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College women's soccer team got its offense going on Saturday as the Quakers posted a 4-0 victory over Spalding University.
The Quakers scored a pair of goals in each half of the non-conference contest on Matlack Field.
Cherrah Barclay put the Quakers on the scoreboard with a goal at 11:50. Annie Frodeman picked up the assist on the play from a free kick.
Abigail McCullough made it 2-0 with a score at 19:16 with Kelly Mayhew assisting.
In the second period, Christine Page had an unassisted score at 64:17.
Barclay finished the afternoon with a goal at 68:33 as Gia Casaburo had the assist.
Earlham led 17-14 in shots, while Spalding (2-2-1) had a 2-1 edge in corner kicks.
Earlham goalkeeper A.J. Johnson had six saves as she recorded a shutout.
The Quakers (1-3-1) return to action on Wednesday at Denison University. The match begins at 7 p.m.
