EC MEN LOSE TO TRANSY

Earlham College Broadcast SportsRICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College men's basketball team fell 82-45 to
nationally-ranked Transylvania University on Wednesday night.
Dustin Rusk and Blake Welch led the Quakers with 10 points each in the Heartland
Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and
Wellness Center.
Marty Broderick, Jack O'Flaherty and Joe Adams finished with six points apiece.
Broderick led the Quakers with seven rebounds.
Earlham was able to stay close to the Pioneers (16-4, 11-2), who are NO. 22 in the
latest d3hoops.com national poll.
Welch scored at the 15:23 mark of the first half as the Quakers trailed 10-8. From
that point, Transylvania went on a 17-5 run to build a 27-13 advantage with 7:04 to
go in the opening period.
Transylvania led 42-21 at halftime.
The Quakers (2-18, 1-12) are at home again on Saturday against Hanover College. The
HCAC game begins at 3 p.m.
