Earlham College Broadcast SportsLEXINGTON, Ky. — The Earlham College men's basketball team had four players in
double figures on Wednesday night as the Quakers fell 83-63 to Transylvania
University.
Jack O'Flaherty and Tyler Lewers led the Quakers with 16 points each in the
Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest against the Pioneers (4-2, 2-0).
Dustin Rusk tossed in 11 points, while Kristian Barden added 10 points. Both players
led the Quakers with eight rebounds apiece. O'Flaherty grabbed six rebounds.
The Pioneers jumped out to a 6-0 advantage before the Quakers rallied and eventually
tied the game at 20-20 when Rusk drilled a 3-pointer at the 10:17 mark of the
opening period.
From that point, Transylvania was able to work its way to a 39-34 lead by
intermission.
In the second half, the Pioneers were able to widen their margin to pick up the win.
The Quakers (1-7, 0-2) visits Franklin College on Saturday. The HCAC affair gets
underway at 1 p.m.
