EC WOMEN LOSE ON THE ROAD

TIFFIN, Ohio — The Earlham College women's basketball team continued its stretch of
road contests on Tuesday as the Quakers fell 70-54 at Heidelberg University.
This was third game away from home for the Quakers in a run of five to begin the
Bria Sneed was the top performer for the Quakers with 19 points, seven rebounds,
five steals and two assists against Heidelberg (3-0).
Raven Bryant-Williams tossed in eight points and grabbed six rebounds, while Kasin
Spay finished with seven points.
Karmell Brown had seven rebounds and Emily Sells pulled down six rebounds.
Earlham had a brief lead early when Spay hit a 3-pointer to give the Quakers a 3-2
advantage in the opening minute.
Heidelberg then scored nine straight to build an 11-3 lead at the 15:31 mark.
The Quakers were able to fight back and they went ahead 21-20 when Jazmynne
Cunningham scored with 5:23 left in the first period.
However, Heidelberg ended the half with a 16-5 run to lead 36-26 at the intermission.
In the second half, the Quakers were able to work back into the contest. Sells got
the Quakers close at 48-46 when she scored with 9:43 remaining, but Heidelberg was
able to maintain its distance the rest of the way.
Earlham (1-2) competes in the Marietta College Turkey Shoot this weekend. The
Quakers face Marietta on Saturday at 8 p.m.
