GREENWOOD, IN - The Transylvania men's soccer program earned a share of the
HCAC Championship for the eighth time in program history and secured the top
seed for the conference tournament.  The top-seed Pioneers will tangle with
No. 4 Franklin in one semifinal, while second seeded Rose-Hulman will host
No. 3 Anderson in the other semifinal.

Transy clinched a share of the title with a 4-0 victory over Bluffton on
Saturday afternoon.  Junior Christian King (Nicholasville, Ky./East
Jessamine) scored a pair of goals in the victory.  The Pioneers finished the
regular season with a 14-1-2 overall record and an 8-0-1 mark in conference
play.

Rose-Hulman also earned a piece of the league crown with an 8-0-1 mark.  The
Engineers beat Manchester 3-0 on Saturday to clinch a share of the title,
earning the school's third men's soccer crown.

Transylvania will face Franklin at 7:30 PM Wednesday evening in the
semifinals.  The Pioneers pulled out a 1-0 win over the Grizzlies back on
October 10.  King scored the game-winning goal, finding the back of the net
in the 73rd minute of play.  Franklin finished the season 6-8-3 overall and
4-3-2 in conference action.

Rose-Hulman (12-4-3, 8-0-1 HCAC) and Anderson (9-10-1, 5-3-1 HCAC) will meet
in Terre Haute for the second men's semifinal.  The Engineers defeated the
Ravens 2-1 when the two squads met on October 3.  Action between the
Engineers and Ravens will get underway at 7:00 PM Wednesday.

The winner of the conference tournament will earn the conference's automatic
qualifier into the NCAA Division III tournament that is slated to begin on
November 8.  The highest remaining seed after the two semi-finals will host
the conference tournament final at 1:00 PM Saturday.
