GIRLS GET SECOND WIN!

The Cardinal girls team took care of matters in the fourth quarter to get their second win of the season. With the scored knotted at 29 the defense took over holding the New London girls to just 3 fourth quarter points enroute to a 42-30 win.

Liz Nichols took the spotlight nabbing 20 rebounds on the evening. Liz also sored 6 points and snared 7 steals. Lindsay Moore continued her hot streak scoring nearly half of the Comet points. She ended up with 18 for the night and threw in a teamleading 8 steals as well. Laci Moore had a noticeable impact with 7 points and led the team with 4 assists. Brooke Courtney continued her physical play with her solid defense and grabbed 6 rebounds Liz didn't get.

The win puts the Comets record at 2-3. Next up is Pekin on Thursday at Pekin.
