Home » Marching Band NewsMarching Band NewsSeptember 3, 2010 Cardinal High SchoolThe Cardinal Scarlet Pride Marching Band The band started this season with a bang, (literally). They participated in a four day intensive training camp where they drilled basics and began roughing in the beginnings of a field show. They were able to perform a brief pre-game and half time show for the first home football game after just three days of full band participation. This is a tribute to the students outstanding attitude and enthusiasm and their willingness to work extra to get things done. The band plans to perform a field show for the future home football games and they are stepping up to the challenge of competitions. They are scheduled to perform in the Pella Marching Dutch Invitational, the Ottumwa Octoberfest, the Davis County Invitational, and State Marching Band Contest in Pella. With the bar being set high for this year, the students are setting themselves for the hard and sometimes tedious work that it takes to achieve excellence. Thank you to all who support music and more importantly thank you for supporting our community's students in all their activities. Mr. Miller Band Director
