By Brian Mancuso of Terre Haute South High SchoolTerre Haute South Softball picked up a big MIC road win by beating #1 Carmel 8-7 Saturday afternoon. THS used 3 tallies in the 7th to rally for the win. Lexi Higgins had 3 hits and scored the go ahead run in the 7th. Cheyenne Reinig also added 3 hits, while Ashley Watkins and Shelbie Scamihorn added 2 hits.
THS is now 20-7 (5-2 in MIC play_ and travels to Bloomington South on Wednesday.
Baseball split a pair of MIC games Saturday at Center Grove. Game 1 saw the Braves fall 8-5. Daniel Marlow added a home run in the 7th. Marlow got the win in the 2nd game, (3-2 final). Colton Rupska hit a walk off double to win the game for THS.
THS is now 16-8 (7-5 in MIC) and plays tomorrow against Mooresville.
