Big Blue Wrestlers Compete at Districts

Big Blue’s five district qualifiers competed in the Southwest Ohio Division I District Wrestling Tournament Friday, February 22^nd and Saturday, February 23^rd at Fairfield High School.  All five athletes represented the Blue well in a deep and talented district tournament.  Sophomore Nicc Wells and senior Alan Wilson were eliminated Friday night in two hard fought matches ending their seasons, while seniors Robbie Parker, Daquwan Mitchell, and freshman Daniel Ramirez stayed alive through Friday’s competition and an opportunity for a state qualifying position on Saturday.  During the third round of competition Saturday morning the Blue’s final three wrestlers ended their seasons short of their state aspirations two matches away from state qualifying positions.  Congratulations to all five athletes for a solid post season run.
