Home » Girls' Basketball NewsSenior night a successFebruary 6, 2013 Hamilton High SchoolFive Big Blue seniors were recognized for their efforts and dedication to the Hamilton girls' basketball program Monday night at HHS. Seniors Jaclyn Asher, Rebekah Duncan, Christina Marshall, Brooke Moran, and Jillian Spurlock were able to bring the Big Blue a victory on senior night, leading to a 2-game win streak.
Hamilton's competition, Cincinnati Christian, gave the Big Blue all it could handle on Monday night. While the game was back and forth for the majority of the game, CCS led at half-time by 1 point. The 3rd and 4th quarters, however, were led by the Blue, and it hung on to claim a 47-40 victory.
Jillian Spurlock led all scorers with 27 points, while also contributing 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Freshman Takyra Gilbert chipped in 13 points, 4 steals and 3 assists in the win.
The Big Blue travel to Middletown on Saturday, Feb. 9th for their last regular season game. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m.
