Big Blue zone shuts down Colerain

While the Big Blue had an impressive offense effort from senior Jillian Spulock (29 points) and freshman Takyra Gilbert (11 points), it was the Hamilton defense that won the game this past Saturday. Hamilton used an aggressive zone to stifle the Cardinals, who shot just 18% from the field and 8% from 3 pt. land. The Big Blue also forced 19 turnovers and acheived 12 steals in the effort.

Another player of note includes Emma Goins, scoring 4 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Spurlock added 9 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists. Gilbert dished out a game-high 4 assists and notched 4 steals as well.
