Hamilton's zone forced Edgewood into shooting only 26% from the field as well as forcing 22 turnovers. Hamilton was led by senior Jillian Spurlock, who tallied her first double-double of the season, scoring 28 points and grabbling 11 rebounds. Spurlock also dished out 8 assists, blocked 3 shots, and stole the ball 4 times against Edgewood. Hamilton also received phenomenal guard play from freshman point guard, Takyra Gilbert. Gilbert scored 20 points and added 5 assists and 3 steals in only her 2nd varsity level game. The Big Blue outrebounded Edgewood 50-36, which was a big difference in the game. Edgewood was led by senior post player Maura Hackney with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
