All alumni cookout held at Washington Park
October 8, 2014Douglass High School
The "FDHS All Alumni" cookout took place at Washington park on Saturday, August 9.
“The cookout provided an opportunity for alumni to come together to celebrate FDHS, as well as an opportunity to see friends from your graduation class. We all celebrate what we know Frederick Douglass High School has done for students because we are all products of this school amd know first hand how our time here has impacted our lives. At the cookout there is a lot of fellowship and fun. Douglass’ current staff and administration welcomed the alumni with open arms and it was a great opportunity for alumni to meet Dr. Burks,” said chorus teacher and FDHS alumnus Mr. Benjamin Polite.
“I had a ball and it was great seeing friends that I had not seen in years,” said twelfth grade math teacher and alumnae Mrs. Lori Hill. It is also good to let students see that you attended the same high school and have a love and appreciation for the school.
