Parents host education legislative reception at APS

     On Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 7pm to 8:30pm parents and community members were invited to attend the 2^nd annual “Parents for Atlanta Public School Legislative Reception." All parents and community members in Atlanta who support public education in Atlanta’s schools were asked to attend.

    “This was a great opportunity for parents to talk about any concerns they had about their children’s education,” Ms.C.Brown said.

     The invited guests were the state elected officials in the Atlanta-Fulton County Delegation, the city's elected officials and the Atlanta Board of Education members as well as APS' leadership. This was a chance for fans of Atlanta's public education to speak with state and other chosen officials to discuss education matters.

   The meeting‘s main purpose was to assist parents who may be worried about their children’s whereabouts when it comes to their public education. Parents can visit the APS building, which is located at 130 Trinity Avenue, SW.
