This is her first year as a softball coach; however with her vast experience as a basketball coach she plans to have a successfull season. Coach Hill explained “ I believe in them all and I expect for everyone to work hard and do their best.” The 2012-2013 schedule has the team competing, against tough opponents but the Lady Astros appear to be up for the challenge. With returning players, a new and motivated coaching staff and a fan base that plans to lend its support, the team is optimistic. Returning third baseman, Jasmine Bigsby (junior) is working on her third year as a member of the team. She said, “The season wasn’t so great last year, but having a new coach and a fresh start will help us to win a lot of games.” When asked how she felt about the new coach, first baseman Zariah Lewis explained, “I think Coach Hill is a wonderful coach who believes in us and that we will get the job done. Her success with coaching the basketball team let us know that she knows what she is doing and can provide the expertise needed to coach us."
