The 83rd annual Glasgow Tournament was held last week, December 2 through December 7. As the fourth seed, the boys played Westran on the opening night of the tournament. The game was close throughout the first three quarters, but Glasgow pulled away in the fourth making the final score 53-46. Glasgow advanced to the second round of the tournament to play top-seeded Cairo. This was a hard fought game with the score being 29-27 at the half. Glasgow got into some foul trouble and Cairo took advantage by making most of their free throws. Glasgow lost for the first time in the Glasgow Tournament since 2008. With the loss, Glasgow was set to play New Franklin for 3rd place. This was a pretty even match-up, with two young teams going head to head. Once again Glasgow got into foul trouble and New Franklin hit 19 of 22 free throws. New Franklin came out victorious taking home the 3rd place trophy with the final score ending at 42-46.
