Glasgow Cross Country Teams Wrap Up Their Regular Season at Salisbury

The GHS Cross Country teams ran their last regular season meet on Monday, October 21st. Despite the cool weather, the teams put on a great performance.
The girls' team finished 2nd overall to Salisbury. Each member of the team received a medal for this accomplishment. Individually, Abby Draffen ran a 21:43; her best time, and received a 4th place medal. Caitlin Yung received a medal for 9th place with a time of 22:06, also running her best time. Julia Kramm and Tara Fuemmeler finished next for the team both running their best times for the season, 23:45 and 25:18 respectively. Nikki Fuemmeler also competed that day running a 27:59.
The boys' team finished in 3rd place, one place shy of a medal for the team standings. Southern Boone took 1st and Father Tolton took 2nd place. Much like the girls, many boys ran their best times. Hayden Hackman receitved a 9th place medal finishing with a time of 18:50*. Skylar Brucks ran a 19:25* and he received a medal for 14th place. Coming in next for Glasgow was Blade Hackman and Kyler Monnig with finishing times of 19:54* and 21:36* respectively. Alex Mathews finished next with a time of 22:07*, followed by Landon Brand with a 22:20. Clay Littrell ran 24* minutes flat and Jacob Monnig finished with a time of 24:11*. The asterisk (*) indicates that it was their season's best time.
On Saturday, November 2nd, many of the members willl be traveling to Lamar to compete in Districts. Any individual who finishes in the top 15 will move on to compete at State. Also, if either team is able to finish in the top two the entire team will advance to run at State. The State Cross Country Meet will take place on November 9th in Jefferson City.
