The Lafayette General lacrosse program started in 2007. Kevin and Cindy Kelly were the champions for the sport at Lafayette. Dusty Wethington was the first Head Coach and Lafayette notched its first win against St. Francis of Louisville in 2008.  In 2009 Lafayette won 6 games and made the state Playoffs where they were beaten by Kentucky Country Day. 

Tim Jones became Head Coach in 2010, and LHS finished in second place for the regular season; but were eliminated in the semifinals of the State Playoffs..  In 2011, LHS was eliminated by Henry Clay in the DII Regional Playoff.  For 2012, Lafayette returns the entire starting roster from 2011.
