WP: Andrew Schorr. 7 inning complete game 0 runs, 0 hits, 5 k's, 2bb
The Roadrunner baseball team advanced to the Region 19 Final Four with a two game sweep of Lehigh Carbon. The big news in this contest was pitcher Andrew Schorr making GCC history with a Region 19 tournament no-hitter. Even more history, this was Andrew' s second no-hitter this season. Andrew's remarkable effort was coupled with the Roadrunners 8 run 10 hit performance. Led by John Brucker's 3 hits (including a 7th inn lead off triple), and a home run blast off the bat of George Monsen, the runners put the game away in the 7th when Shane Williams knocked in Corey Capaldi and run number 8 with his pinch hit single.
The Roadrunners will travel to Brookdale CC next Friday to take on the winner of the Camden CC and Ocean CC contest.
