It didn't take long for the Lady Railroaders to get back on the court and get the bad taste out of their mouth from Saturday's loss as they defeated the Bellmont Squaws by a score of 48-32 on Tuesday night. We played well offensively right from the start, but our defense took a quarter to settle in. We really played well in the 2nd quarter and the start of the 3rd. We executed our offense very well and played great defense. Our full court press was very effective for us. Offensively Brandi Dawson led the way with 23 points. She really jump started out offense early. Taylor Smith dominated the start of the 2nd half and finished with 12 points on the night. Becca Oliver added 5 points to go with her game high 9 rebounds. Emily Somer chipped in 4 points and had a game high 5 assists. Katie Wisel had 3 and Bailey Sutton had 1. Everyone played well and it was a good team win.
We played 4 games in 8 days against really good competition and now we get 3 days to prepare for Southern Wells as they come back to the Bateman Gym on Saturday night. This will be a hard fought battle as we both are tied for 1st place in the conference. We need a huge crowd to come out and support us. Let's get real loud!!
