It took a little while, mainly becasue of foul trouble, but the Lady Railroaders found their rhythm in the 2nd quarter and ran away from the Prairie Heights Panthers 44-31.  Katie Wisel sparked the run with her penetration and Brandi Dawson had a big quarter shooting the ball as we outscored PH 17-4.  We played great, smart defense and stopped fouling.  PH made a little run in the 3rd quarter and Emily Somers hit a big 3 to get the momentum back for us.  The game could have gone a lot more in our favor had we made free throws.  We were only 7-17 from the line.  We all know that to win close games, we have to make free throws.  We had shot 75% in our last 2 games, so hopefully we get back to that.  For the night, Brandi led us with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.  Em had 9 popints to go along with her season high 8 rebounds.  She also had 3 steals.  Taylor Smith had 5 points, Becca Oliver had 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals.  Katie had 2 points and 4 assists, and Rachel Stafford and Emma Riedley each had 1 point and played some great defense for us in the 2nd half.  Emma also had 4 bebounds.

Our JV team had another exciting finish to their game.  The girls battled for 4 offensive rebounds on the final possession of the game and Sloane Robinson finally put the last rebound into the basket as time expired for the win.  These girls paly really hard and they are getting better each day.  It's good to see them get some well deserved victories.

Saturday night is the biggest REGUALR SEASON game on our schedule as the Leo Lions come to the Bateman Gym.  This game will ultimately decide the conference championship.  We hope to see everyone at the game and let's get the noise level up and the excitement level high!  We are excited for this moment and we need out 6th man behind us!!
