Home » FFA NewsFFA Week in ReviewFebruary 22, 2013 Garrard County High School FFAFFA Week has been a busy one for the Garrard County FFA. It started with some loud tractors on Motorsports day and ends tonight with a cookout for the members. During this week, we are reminded what the FFA is about: leadership, growth, and success. Our members have had a great week, and now look forward to the challenges that lie ahead as they prepare fore spring contests. Tuesday started FFA Week with Motorsports day. Former member Casey Carpenter, former GCHS student Cody Carpenter, and FFA Advisor Aaron McDonald all had garden pulling tractors on hand to show the students and discuss the sport of tractor pulling. Wednesday held an FFA club meeting. Thursday was the evening for the Labor Auction, and was a roaring success! Twelve members offered their time, effort, and energy to be auctioned to the highest bidders, bringing in $750 for the FFA! A special thanks goes to all who participated! Friday evening will conclude this years' FFA week with a member cookout at the ag shop at 6:00. All memebrs are encouraged to attend and bring their favorite chips or drinks. An Ale 8 one chugging contest will be held as well, with the winner recieving free 2013-2014 FFA dues. Again, a special thanks goes to all the members who volunteered their time for the auction, as well as bidders Robert Floyd, Casey Carpenter, Owen Colvin, and S&S Equipment.
