Home » FFA NewsFFA News UpdateOctober 5, 2012 Garrard County High School FFAOctober is here, and lots of news is on the way! The Garrard County FFA will be attending the National FFA Convention on Wednesday October 24th and Thursday October 25th, 2012. They will be traveling to Indianapolis, IN and will be staying in Indy overnight. This will be the last convention in Inidanapolis for many years. In 2013, the convention moves back south to Louisville, KY. T-shirts are in! If you ordered a t-shirt or would like to purchase one, please see an FFA officer or advisor. Team and contest sign-ups are on-going. If you are interested in a contests, see Mr. McDonald or Mrs. Roseberry. The GCHS ag classes were able to sit in on a Skype session with Ken Parsons on Thursday October 4th. Mr. Parsons is still stationed in FOB Pasab, Afghanistan. He is currently serving on Agribusiness Development Team 4 (ADT4) assisting the US Army in helping Afghan farmers to develope sustainable agricultural practices. Mr. Parsons will hopefully return to the states in December.
