He has since entered training with the US Army as part of a civilian workforce headed to Afghanistan to teach agriculture to the people of that country. Mr. Parsons has served as a teacher and advisor to the students of Garrard County for many years, as well as being the chairman of the Bluegrass Region KAAE and a member of KACTE, ACTE, KEA, and numerous other organizations. His prescence will be missed at GCHS. Good luck and best wishes to Mr. Parsons!
We would also like to welcome to our crew, Mrs. Christen Roseberry as the new agriculture teacher and FFA advisor at Garrard County High School. Christen is a 2005 graduate of Garrard County, as well as a former FFA member and chapter president. She graduated from EKU in 2010 after completing the ag ed program and doing her student teaching at Garrard County. Christen brings with her a vast amount of knowledge and great energy that will surely be a reviving factor for the students of Garrard County. We also wish her luck in this journey and hope to see her around for a while!
