West Ala News Release Nov, 2012

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Valley High School center Brianna Davidson has signed a national letter of intent to play her college basketball at the University of West Alabama, according to an announcement today by Tiger women's head coach Craig Roden.

“We are extremely excited to have a player of Brittany's caliber coming into our program,” Roden said. “We know that over the next few years we have to start adding a freshman a year, and we believe she is the kind of freshman that we can continue to build this program on.

“She is a big, strong low post player with a nice touch around the basket and has very active feet,” Roden said. “We certainly believe she will be a great addition to our program.”

Entering her senior season at Valley, Davidson has already lettered four times and been team captain for three years. She helped lead the Lady Rams to a 26-3 record and Class 5A state runner-up spot last season.

At 6-feet tall, Davidson has averaged 7.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game over the last three seasons. With a season to play she owns the VHS record for rebounds in a season.

A 4.0 student, Davidson is a member of the National Honor Society, vice-president of the VHS Student Government Association and a member of the Key Club Board of Directors.
