Frontier volleyball sweeps Rossville in title match

Class A No. 10 Frontier relied on powerful, accurate hitting from their front line tandem of Jenna Sullivan and Kattie Lee to defend their Clinton Prairie Sectional championship Saturday night.

Sullivan had 15 kills on .412 hitting and Lee pounded down 10 kills on .435 attacking in a 25-9, 25-15, 25-21 victory over No. 9 Rossville. Sullivan and Lee also had double-doubles for the Falcons (28-2), who host Riverton Parke on Tuesday night in the regional.

Sullivan had 12 blocks, all solos, while Lee collected 13 digs. Corin Runk led the defense with 14 digs, and Megan Doyle set up the Frontier attack with 24 assists.

The Falcons hit .352 against the Hornets, with Jesah Marlatt knocking down five kills on .400 hitting.

Rossville finishes 23-9.

Frontier reached the final by sweeping Tri-Central 25-18, 25-13, 25-14. Sullivan had 16 kills and a .536 hitting percentage. Lee contributed 15 kills and 19 digs.

Alyssa Marzke contributed eight kills and two blocks, and Doyle issued 29 assists.
