Eagles fall to the Hornets

Hornets were to much for Fremont tonight, the Eagle wrestlers loss 29-46 which puts their overall record to 5-6.  Tonight I saw a mix of good and bad, but again it is nice to see improvements along with success in the lineup.  Tanner Frye (120 lbs), Tylor Willms (132 lbs), and Ricky Short (160 lbs) were able to take advantage of offensive opportunities and collect pins for the Eagles.  Ricky went out aggressively and with an offensive mindset which lead to a pinfall in 25 seconds. Also collecting wins for Fremont were David Schmucker (138 lbs), Brock Baker (145 lbs), and Brady Elliott (182 lbs). Brock Baker wrestled a solid six minutes and surprised me how well he wrestled considering he just bounced back from an illness over the weekend and into yesterday. In addition, Fremont had three Junior Varsity matches and were able to collect two out of three wins.  Alex Fanning (138 lbs) and Christian Barrow (145 lbs) both won by pinfall.  Austin Maggart (145 lbs) lost a well fought match by pin in the second period.
