2011 IHSAA XC State Meet

The 4 Eagles that traveled to Terre Haute to run in the 2011 IHSAA XC State Meet had high goals of success, boy did they do that!   After finishing 31st at last years State meet, Abby Hostetler was 15th(18:49) this year to earn All-State status and her goal of getting on the podium.  Indiana(XC)State Meet has no classes! The top 25 are All-State, top 15 get to take the steps to the podium and  get a Medal.  Anna Aldrich who finished 81st at last years State meet was 34th(19:14) this year.  Abby and Anna ran smart races to get huge improvements from last years performances.  Abby was excited for her performance as she reached her goal of getting on the podium.  Anna and Abby both return next year to add to there Phenominal careers thus far as Fremont High School harriers!  Ashley Erba(Warsaw) was State Champ in 18:07 and Carmel had 43 points to win the team State championship(Yes, 43 points)!!!!!  Congratulations, ladies on a fine season. 

Keigan Culler and Tyler Herber also competed at the IHSAA State XC meet.  Keigan closed out his fine FHS XC career in 26th place(16:03), Keigan missed All-State staus by 1 spot!  Tyler Herber ran in his 1st State meet and boy did he run well as he was 41st(16:17).  These 2 have put themselves in a fine group of FHS harriers as they close out their high school careers.  Futsum Zenasslelasse(North Central, Indy) was State champ in 14:48 and Columbus North was Team State champ with 77pts.!  Thank you guys for leaving your Legacy with FHS and your Teammates.
