NECC XC Championship

The Fremont Eagles boys team dared to go where they had never gone before at the 2011 NECC XC Championship meet at West Noble High School.  In the end the guys finished in 2nd place to West Noble 71pts.to 83pts.!  It was a valiant effort by the guys asthey had 3 All-Conference and almost 4th Eagle All-Conference.  Keigan Culler came home in 2nd place at 16:21, Tyler Herber was 5th in 16:31, Tanner Wall was 15th in 17:31 and Alex Beams was 16th, just missing All-Conference in 17:31 also!  Sam Stukey was 48th in 20:00, Jeremy Easterday(Skates) was 55th in 20:47 and Devin Smith rounded out our top 7 in 59th place in a time of 22:41.  Ben Stukey ran the JV race at 16th in 21:31!  This is the highest finish the Eagles boys have finished in the NECC XC championship meet!  Congratulations guys on a wonderful meet, we await the Sectional back at West Noble on Tuesday 10/11/11 to start the IHSAA tournament!  We will be ready!!!!!!!

 The Fremont Lady Eagles also finished real well today at WN!  The girls were 4th place with 91 pts. as Angola Lady Hornets won with 48pts.  The Girls also brought home 3 ladies All-Conference and  1 of them the NECC champion.  Abby Hostetler won in 18:54 to become the 1st Lady Eagle Conference XC champ.  Teammates Anna Aldrich and MaKenna Cade(BIG MAK) were 3rd (19:41) and 8th (20:19).  They both have run phenominal in the last few weeks to earn these great honors!  Lorin Reidenbach and Brandi Cessna battled it out to the finish with both finishing in 42nd and 43rd, 1 second apart (25:00 & 25:01).  This was a great day for the Kids in the Big Block " F "!
