Records Fall at Adams Central Invite

Friday night was a night to remember for the 2011 Track teams as the boys almost came from behind at the end of the meet to snag first place but Adams Central quickly regained control and the boys team had a respectable 2nd place showing. The girls team only had 10 girls competing in this 6 team invite and had a strong 3rd place finish. The effort was there by everyone that competed friday night and as a result of those efforts the FHS Track Record boards were re-written.

Keigan Culler broke the 1600m Run (Mile) with a new school record time of 4 minutes 24.57 seconds. Keigan owns 3 school records

Keigan also joined forces with Chris Erman, Randy Shaffer, and Tyler Herber to break the 3200m Relay (2 Mile) with a record time of 8:35.

Abby Hostetler, our freshman sensation, also got into the mix by breaking Liz Carlson's record in the 800m Run with a new time of 2 minutes and 24 seconds.

It was an amazing night for the track team and we had some great performances from both teams such as Trevor Wirick's 2nd place finish in the 200m Dash and Tyler Herber running an amazing 4 minute 32 second 1600m run.

Anna Aldrich won the 3200m run and had a great showing in the 400m dash. The thrower girls showed great team effort by running the 3200m Relay to earn the team points. That team consisted of our three thowers (Lynn Sherbondy, Sarah Vacala, Charlie Mann) and Shelby McMahan.

Come watch the track team in action as conference is a week from tuesday and then sectionals and regionals!
