JV pulls out a big win against PH

May 23, 2014
By Ryan Allman of Fremont High School

For those of you that stayed for the JV game last night, you got your moneys worth.  We finally put it all together and played a complete game beating Prairie Heights 4-2.  We had a couple of errors, but it did not hurt us mentally at all in this game.  We faced a great pitcher who only allowed 4 hits...but nothing bothered us last night.

Kyle Lowe pitched yet another gem, going 7 strong innings with 7 k's and no walks.  Lowe was hitting my locations and Mr. Jake Baker had one past ball the entire game.  I am so glad Kyle finally got the support in the field that he deserved all season.  Joe Conti played a tough second base in support and Caleb "Wheels" Presley threw out a guy a second with a shot from left field.

At the plate we had a tough night but we had a lot of base runners and manufactured the 4 runs on just 4 hits.  We stole a total of 6 bases on the night and were agressive at the plate.  We did a nice job of putting the ball in play and making their fielders work.

We hope to put a cherry on top of the season tonight at home against Central Noble.  Win or lose we need to come out and have the same attitude we did last night...that was fun baseball.
