Disappointing loss at home for JV

May 6, 2014
By Ryan Allman of Fremont High School

The JV boys had a game Monday at home against Edgerton.  We had a great day for a baseball game and Edgerton was ready to play from the first pitch scoring 7 in the game after a 5 run inning half way through.  We struggled all night with the bats.  If we decided to swing it seemed like we hit the ball right where they were standing.  We did have a nice rally late in the game scoring 2 runs.  Their pitcher had a very nice curve ball that kept our guys guessing all night long.  We ended up having 11 k's at the plate and only one walk.  Jake Baker had a nice hit and 3 hard hit ball in the game.  Logan Pentecost had a single with an RBI and stolen base.

On a good not, Kyle Lowe once again had a nice outing.  Lowe struck out 10 on the night and only gave up one walk.

The JV guys are back in action tonight @ Churubusco.  Let's hope we bring the bats with us and we can give the starting pitcher some run support.
