Strong win for JV at home

April 30, 2014
By Ryan Allman of Fremont High School

The guys came into tonights game riding a high from this past weekend's games.  We were excited to have a game without a wind gust of 20 mph.    What a great afternoon for baseball.  The Eagles came ready to play today beating Ft. Wayne South Side 7-1 at home.  This win takes the JV team back to .500 on the season at 5-5.

Jake baker stayed hot with a monster shot to left center.  Logan Pentecost had a nice double to left field clearing the bases.  Joe Conti had the bat working tonight with a shot getting past third.  Adam Araque had nice shot to left center to add to the hits.  Caleb Presley kept up his scoring streak; sliding head first into home on a wild pitch.

Kyle Lowe threw 7 strong innings only giving up one run and was in control the entire game.  Lowe moves to 3-1 on the season from the mound.

I am enjoying the improvements we are seeing one game to the next with the guys.  We are playing baseball as a team now and the future for Eagle Baseball is bright.

Eagle Baseball. Champions!
