JV baseball struggles on the road

April 22, 2014
By Ryan Allman of Fremont High School

The JV guys were in action, we kind of, at Angola Tuesday.  We started the game out hot...unlike our latest couple of games.  We scored four runs in the top of the first and added three more in the top half of the second to take a 7-0 lead...then the wheels fell off.  In the bottom half of the second we gave up...wait for it......14 runs.  Yes I said 14 runs.  We are really struggling to get out of the rut we are in at the moment.  I really don't have a lot of other great things to say other than Caleb Vice and Adam Araque cheered the team on the entire time from the dugout and I for one appreciated their support.  These are the type of attitudes we should have and they will be rewarded for it in the next game.

As for tonight we did have a couple people with good games.  Logan Pentecost went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's and 2 stolen bases.  Jake Baker went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's.  Jayce Colclasure scored two runs and made a nice play at third.  Other than that...not too much to write about.  Hope to see you all at the game tomorrow night at Parview.  And good luck Varsity.
