Lady Eagles go to 6-3 in Conference with home win

The Fremont Lady Eagles defeated the Eastside Lady Blazers 46-37 on Thursday night at the Eagles nest.  The team got off to a hot start but the Blazers tied it up at 15 early in the second quarter.  The Eagles lead by 4 at half and then stretched the lead out in the 3rd quarter and hung on for the win.  The team was lead by Shae Rhonehouse with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 steals.  Melissa Beer added 15 points 3 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocked shots.  Miranda White added 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 blocked shots and 4 steals.  The win raises the teams record to 12-8 and they return to action tomorrow with a home game against conference foe and county rival Angola.

     The Fremont Junior Varsity raised their record to 9-10 with a dramatic come from behind 25-24 victory over Eastside.  The team was behind the whole game and finally tied it up in the 4th quarter. Falling behind by two late the team had one more chance with 4.7 seconds left.  Allison Boone took the in bound pass and took three dribbles and launched a shot from about 30 feet.  The ball banked in at the buzzer for three points and an Eagle win.  Samantha Carmona lead the Eagles with 12 points, and the Miss Boone added 9 points and 7 rebounds.  Elaina Schaefer added 4 points and 11 rebounds.  The team returns to action tomorrow at home vs. Angola.
