Eagles drop a tough one to Prairie Heights

The varsity boys' basketball team took on another cross-county rival on Thursday. This time it was against the Prairie Heights Panthers.  The game was about as close as could be as a last second Alex Beams three fell just short to leave the score at 68-66.  This game was really tough to take as the team rushed out to a 35-23 lead at the half.  Prairie Heights used a 3-2 zone to slow the Eagles' driving down and take a second half lead in the third quarter.  The game was nip and tuck from there on to the end.  Leading Fremont was Alex Beams who EXPLODED for 33 points and 4 boards.  Jake Bryant added 10 points, 7 steals, 6 boards, and 3 dimes.  Logan Peel had 8 points and 9 boards.  Austin Corcimiglia had 8 points, 5 steals, 4 assists, and 3 boards.  The loss dropped the team's record at 8-3. 

The team will now have to wait until next Friday to play again.
