JV boys' basketball loses to Busco

January 3, 2013
By Andrew Arndt of Fremont High School

The junior varsity boys' basketball team had a tough time against the Churubusco JV on Thursday night as the team suffered its third setback and second in the last three games.  The team's lack of defensive success plagued the team in the third quarter as they gave up 22 points to a young Busco squad.  The rest of the game the Eagles were ahead 29-27.  The team was led by Tyler Meyer whose 12 points was mostly from the foul line (10-12).  Caleb Presley added 8 points, Kraig Foley and Austin Papenbrock had 5 each, finally Ryan Sichling, Colton Howe, and Jeremy Seiler each had 2.  The loss drops the team's record to 6-3 overall, 2-1 in the NECC.  The team will not be back in action until next Saturday at the Churubusco JV Tourney.
