Lady Eagles Battle Hard but Fall in Road Opener

November 24, 2012
By Neal Frantz of Fremont High School

The Fremont Lady Eagles played a solid 1st half but foul problems were too much to overcome as they fell 55-47 at West Noble on Friday night.  The ladies led 28-19 at halftime and started strong in the second half only to have the Chargers close the gap to 1 at the start of the fourth quarter.  A quick surge in the 4th gave West Noble the lead they wouldn't relenquish as they closed out the win.  The Lady Eagles were led by Miranda White had 15 points and 6 rebounds, Shae Rhonehouse 11 points 9 rebounds 4 assists and 4 steals, Kelsey Sichling 10 points 5 rebounds and Taylor McDaniel 7 points.   White, Rhonehouse and Sichling all fouled out as well.

The Junior Varsity was also beaten by the Chargers 48-17.  The Eagles were lead by Kelcy Fitzpatrick with 6 points.  The Junior Varsity is back in action on Thursday as they travel to North Central and both teams next play on Saturday at Lakeland.
