Eagles fall in shoot-out to Falcons

Right from the start the fans at Benton Friday night saw scoring. A missed responsibility in the LB/DB for Fremont caused Fairfield's QB to scamper to the endzone on the 2nd play of the game. The Eagles found themselves down 14-0 before Nate Beatty ran through the left side of the line for a 70 + TD run to bring the score to 14-7. Fairfield answered with another TD to pull ahead 21-7 but on Fremont's next possession Ricky Short took the ball around the left end for a 65 TD run. Chandler McDowell would connect with Nate Beatty on 2 Long TD passes to cap the scoring off for the Eagles.

The Eagles travel to Marion to take on the Southern Wells Raiders this Friday. The game will be played at Eastbrook HS.
