Home » Boys' Tennis NewsTennis Falls to AngolaAugust 29, 2012 By Neal Frantz of Fremont High SchoolDefending conference and regional champion Angola was too much for the Eagles on Wednesday defeating them 5-0 on the Fremont courts dropping the teams record to 4-4, 1-2 in the conference. The team played a solid match and was competitive at all spots but couldn't get over the hump. Fantastic Frosh #3 singles Logan Miller played the best match of his young career taking a very talented player to three sets before losing 2-6,6-3,6-1. #1 Tyler Jenkins lost 6-1, 6-2. #2 singles Glen McClain lost 6-1, 6-1. #1 dubs of Brandon Miller/Tanner Frye lost 6-3, 6-1 and #2 dubs Keith Bookwalter/Mason Kolberg lost 6-0, 6-3. The junior varsity lost 11-2 dropping their record to 3-2. The winners for Fremont were the doubles teams of Drew Sullivan/Kyle Boekout and Derek Fischer/Hunter Jump. Both teams have a few days off before returning to action Tuesday night at Blackhawk Christian
