Battle of Eagles goes to Busco

The 2012 season has week one in the books. After a hard fought 3 quarters the Busco Eagles used their depth to pull ahead to a victory of 46-13. A slow start doomed the Fremont Eagles as Busco jumped out to a 20-0 lead. Short field positions led to Busco's first 3 scores, after the nerves settled Nate Beatty got the scoring started to bring the score to 20-6. The 2nd quarter was a battle as the Fremont Eagles used a strong defensive effort to gain the big MO back. Using the momentum out of halftime the Fremont Eagles put another score on the board to bring the game within 7 points (20-13). Chandler McDowell hit Ricky Short in the back of the endzone for the 2nd score. It was a hard fought effort for the Fremont Eagles with many positives as the 2012 season is just getting started.

Come support the football team this Friday for the home opener against the Lakeland Lakers. Kick-off is at 7:00pm.
