Let The NECC Tourney Begin

Friday night the NECC girls tennis teams traveled to Lakeland HS to participate in the 2012 NECC tournament.  First round matches were played Friday,with 2nd and 3 rd rounds to be played on Saturday.

At #1 singles , Eagles' Rebecca Noyes defeated Westview  6-4, 6-0. Ashton Taner filled in for injured Lexi Skeens at #2 singles , but was beaten by Westview 6-0, 7-5.  At 1 doubles, Saige Driver and Kasey Renfrew were defeated in a great match 6-2, 6-2, while #2 doubles Anna Thompson and Itzel Sanchez won their first match 6-0, 4-6, 6-0 over Lakeland.   In the match of the night, Morgan Conti outlasted West Noble 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 at #3 singles.

The Eagles are setup for a great day of tennis on Saturday. Good luck lady Eagles!
