Eagles Fall To Hornets, Ending 5-Match Win Streak

The Fremont girls varsity tennis team entered Wednesday night's match against Angola holding on to a 5-game win streak (Snider, Central Noble, Prairie Heights, Westview, Lakeland) and Angola entered on a 1-game losing streak to conference champs Fairfield.  Even though the host Eagles were without #2 singles junior Lexi Skeens and facing an Angola lineup that benefited tremendously with the addition of a tennis-savy foreign exchange player, the Eagles played with high level of energy and motivation.  Throughout the night the Eagles tried to match Angola's experience and improved depth at all 5 positions, but in the end it was Angola who picked up the win 5-0.
