I want to thank all of you for the time and effort you put into making this another successful season.  It’s one thing to sit in the stands to watch your kid play.  It’s another thing to go out there and not only try to coach your own kid- but nine other kids as well.  Some of you are doing this without even having a kid on the team.  As both the guy who runs this program and as a varsity basketball coach, I can’t thank all of you enough.  Not only is the overall program a success, but the work that all of you do make our high school teams better. 

If you ever cross paths with our superintendent, Dr. Dianne Critchlow, or any of the various principals, assistants, or custodians- please give them your thanks- as this league doesn’t succeed without all of their support.  Dr. Critchlow has been a huge supporter of this league from the very beginning- as she blocks off all of our gyms for practices and games.  In an era where in many school districts it’s tougher and tougher to actually get in the gyms, this isn’t the case in our district. 

Special thanks also go out to all of the people who helped get the gyms setup and made sure things ran smooth during the day- including Zach Brown, Jim Montgomery, Tim Meeks, Eric Van Matre, Amber Brewer, Gary Zastrow, and Chris Severin.  I also want to thank Dupo Superintendent of Schools Terry Milt for partnering with us again.  That partnership allows our teams to play a variety of teams and they provide us with some valuable gym space.

This is far from a perfect league.  However, I’ll continue to do everything I can to get closer to that perfection.  If you ever have any suggestions, comments, etc., please don’t hesitate to shoot them my way.  I may agree, disagree, or fall somewhere in the middle.  However, I’ll take each thought under serious consideration.

If there’s ever anything I can do to help any of you, please don’t hesitate to ask.

In the upcoming weeks, I’ll send out information to everyone about our summer basketball camp.
