Triton Softball Jumps to Number 4

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Iowa Central softball team used a 7-0 week to jump four places in the latest NJCAA Division II rankings to No. 4.

Iowa Central (39-7 overall, 12-2 ICCAC) picked up a sweep of Iowa Lakes on Wednesday and went 5-0 at the Jimmy Johns/ Holiday Inn Express Raider Classic in Columbus, Neb., over the weekend. The Tritons are 14-5 against NJCAA DI programs and 9-1 against NJCAA DII teams that have been ranked this season.

The ICCAC is well-represented as Kirkwood is eighth and DMACC is receiving votes to be ranked.

Iowa Central is back in action on Friday, April 13, when it heads to Iowa Falls to face Ellsworth at 3:00 p.m.
