Lady Bulldogs Rhone, Twins Too Much For EWC

Nashville, Tenn.--- Sophomore Jade Rhone had 27 assists and six service aces to help and twins Jamese and Jamille Grant had a combined 16 kills to aid the Fisk Lady Bulldogs to a 25-23, 25-15, 25-21 sweep of conference foe Edward Waters (FL.) College. So far this season the Lady Bulldogs are undefeated (3-0) at home. The win also gave Fisk their second two game win streak of the season.
"I am very happy with this win," said Fisk head coach Sarah Grams, "Jade has been steady all year for us. We had a very tough weekend but the ladies seemed energized tonight. We all need rest from the grind we have been on."
The Lady Bulldogs got back in town late Sunday night after traveling to Voorhees, South Carolina. The trip came after a four games in two day tournament at Cumberland University. The Grant sisters have come along nicely as of late.
"Jamese and Jamille have really been strong around the net lately, Their play has elevated us some. The are really coming into their own," said Grams.
With the win Fisk took sole posession of first place in the Eastern Division of the GCAC. This Saturday they have a tough home match against Dillard. Gane time is 1 p.m.
